I thought that the most difficult part of this drawing was getting the shades of white to blend together. It may not show it in the picture above, but I felt like my shading was kind of choppy.
Yes I was able to create a full range of value in my drawing because I drew the airplane from an angle that shows all values. My darkest-darks showed where the folding was in the paper; the paper that was a flat surface was my lightest-lights. Drawing my lightest-lights I think were my strength in my drawing because it was easy to get the light value using white charcoal on a black piece of paper. In my work, I used value to help create the illusion of depth by using shading, overlapping, and perspective drawing. The lightest lights in my drawing were found where light directly hit the objects I was drawing. The darkest dark's were found when the objects were not being hit by any light. I think the glass vase and the bottle holder with the glass bottles were the hardest objects to shade. The glass vase and bottles was hard because they are clear so it was hard to show the different values without making it look a solid color. The bottle holder was hard because it was so small and it was hard to see the values from the angle I was looking from.
Elliptical perspective was very important in my drawing. I used elliptical perspective by drawing the cans how I saw them from the angle the pop can was placed. By placing the pop cans closer or farther away, I created 3D and 2D place. If I had the chance to do this project over, I would take more time in adding details to my drawing. I think that I did a good job using elliptical perspective and I also think that my crushed cans were my strengths while drawing the pop cans.
